Ichigo Nekoda (Aki Kajiwara) is a manga artist with writer's
block. Her last hit was 12 years earlier with "Cherry Road," a
shojo manga (girls' comic) that ended with the handsome hero's
motorbike fallen on the road. With funds in her bank account
dwindling, and under additional pressure from her manager
Tomoko (Miho Miyazawa), Nekoda is desperate for inspiration.
After a night of heavy drinking at her favorite transvestite
bar, she is knocked unconscious avoiding a passing truck. She
wakes up in a beach house managed by the real-life model for
her hero (Manabu Oshio), in reality the love of her teenage
life, who really died in a motorbike accident she blames
herself for!
