The autobiographical debut feature of writer-director Peter Wade, TRACKS stars Ice-T, Chris Gunn and John Heard in a shocking true story of violent rage and eventual redemption. TRACKS is based on the true story of a group of white, middle class, suburban teenagers whose irresponsible but seemingly harmless act of mindless fooling around led to a man's death in July of 1982.

It was a moment of madness that led to a senseless act of vandalism. But in its aftermath one man lies dead and a teenage boy is convicted of manslaughter and condemned to five years in a maximum-security prison. For 15-year-old Peter Madigan (Chris Gunn), it is the beginning of an ordeal beyond his worst nightmares – a fight for survival in a brutal and unforgiving world where violence is a way of life.

Peter and his friends regularly spent countless summer nights hanging out on and around the train tracks in Fairlawn, New Jersey. Bored one evening, they decided to throw a railway switch for fun. Tragically, their actions resulted in the derailment of an oncoming train and the accidental death of the train's conductor. The subsequent court case made history in the New Jersey judicial system when these teenagers involved (who, at the time, were between the ages of 14 and 16) became the first in the state to be tried and convicted as adults. TRACKS chronicles their descent with a particularly striking visual portrayal of the one boy who made a mistake and paid the consequences before finally getting his own life back.

TRACKS is the poignant and revealing story of writer-director Peter Wade (the real-life "Peter Madigan" whose life is the subject of the film). A psychological drama, it explores the events that led up to a disturbingly tragic event and looks at the inner demons that plagued Peter as a result of abuse and even rape by his own father, as well as the guilt that tortured him for taking another man's life. The film gives a unique inside perspective of incest, murder, and prison life as written and directed by the man who lived to tell the story.
