◎简　　介　

本片根据著名幽默讽刺文学的代表人物、第一个成功结合喜剧和科幻的作家道格拉斯·亚当斯的最出名的小说改编的。主要人物是一个无家可归的地球人，一个到处为家的外星人，还有几位个性鲜明的角色。《银河系漫游指南》最早的形式是广播剧本，随即改写成小说，光是英文版的销量就超过一千四百万本，后来又编成电视剧、舞台剧、计算机游戏等等，大概是形式最多的科幻作品了，现在终于改编成电影了。可惜的是，这位作家已经于2001年5月11日因心脏病突发去世了，要不然还能亲眼看到这部影片的问世。
