◎简 介
James Crocker is a young American having a grand time in merry old London. He is out drinking, dancing and partying to all hours. He is seen as a man of the town and lives on the line with regular fights and risks. All this is about to change, when Piccadilly Jim's (James's nickname) Aunt appears and plans to make an honest man of her wild nephew. At first Jim is having none of it, but then his Aunt's step niece is on the scene and things are about to change. Jim returns to New York and tries to live as an honourable gentleman, under an assumed name. All this to impression and win the love of Anne, his Aunt's step niece. It is a fine line. Will his secret be kept for long enough?

Plot

What's wrong with love? Piccadilly Jim was adapted from P.G. Wodehouse's novel by Julian
Fellowes (Gosford Park). London, the 1930's. Following a string of scandalous incidents,
bad-boy American Jimmy Crocker - now labelled "Piccadilly Jim" by the gossip pages -
proves to be a liability to his stepmother Eugenia's social climbing and his put-on father's
dreams of returning to New York. Nesta, Eugenia's sister and archrival, arrives in London
with her husband Peter and his niece Ann, determined to bring Jim back to New York. Jim
bumps into Ann finds love at first sight. But he discovers she loathes him by reputation, so
he has to hide his true identity. Jim decides to travel to New York, and there meets up with
Ann. Together, they hatch a plan for him to come into Nesta's house, pretending to be Jimmy
Crocker (himself), to kidnap Nesta's ghastly son, Ogden. Jim arrives at the house to find his
father, Bingley, pretending to be an English butler, having escaped the clutches of Eugenia.
Comic antics ensue as Jim tries to woo Ann whilst keeping up his disguise and fending off the
likes of crazy scientist Willie Partridge and Lord Wisbeach, who isn't what he seems either...
