奇连.伊士活果然宝刀未老，魅力十足，继《豪情盖天》获得奥斯卡最佳导演与最佳影片的奖项后，新作《火线狙击》中再一次尽显其旺盛的拼搏精神，他所饰演的角色接近其真实年龄，故看来更具真实感，而非一般卖弄纯英雄本色的电影，年届六十三岁的他，向来以硬汉、独行侠等伸张正义的侠客形象出现，这一系列辣手神探电影既令他扬名挤身好莱坞巨星之列，也给观众留有深刻印象。这回饰演特务保镖法兰的伊士活与过往参演的电影有所不同，一开始他已处于下风，在这场追捕行凶者的斗智游戏中不但被杀手摸清底细，更进行连串心理挑战，阴影不断盘旋脑海之中。值得一赞的是饰演杀手的约翰.马高维治，他那机灵、冷静的处事态度演活了。杀手的心态，令观众更能投入这场角斗当中，他对法兰的往事了如指掌，并故意留下线索让法兰进一步陷入他的行刺计划中，两位视死如归的对头终于展开连场追击。本片动作场面虽然不多，但斗智斗勇的场面令人看得入迷，戏味十足，情节引人入胜。同时，片中提供一些宝贵资料及历史片段，包括甘迪遇刺时千钧一发的镜头，论剧情并无冷场，惟在音乐处理与配乐方面则较逊色。

[PLOT]

    Veteran Secret Service agent Frank Horrigan is a man haunted by his failure to
    save President Kennedy while serving protection detail in Dallas. Thirty years
    later, a man calling himself "Booth" threatens the life of the current
