I've lived over 30 years in Australia and cannot recall one Aussie movie that I could really call good.

My first ghastly experience was Picnic at Hanging Rock.

The nearest I ever got to enjoying an Aussie film was Strictly Ballroom.

Razzle Dazzle looked promising in its trailers. I thought that here at last someone had created a really clever and comical piece on the amateur dance fraternity. But I was sadly disappointed.

Razzle Dazzle is a mock doco on the amateur dance scene that is supposed to be funny but instead is incredibly boring and repetitive. The plot is almost non-existent and I just felt sorry for all those talented Aussie actors who got involved with this tragedy.

It might have been better if they had not used the doco style. I think then it might have had a chance, especially in the humour department.

My verdict is forget it. I suggest you take the dog for a walk instead.
