沙拉万Shravan Dhariwal（桑杰.达特Sanjay Dutt)是生活在纽约的一位商业巨子。他的魅力和财富虽然使他身边美女如云，但一直没有心仪的人，直到他遇到了瓦尔莎Varsha（玛妮莎.柯伊拉拉Manisha Koirala），一位认为道德超越金钱的有自尊的印度女孩。第一次见面时姑娘就指责沙拉万把女人当作玩物。沙拉万来到瓦尔莎家里会见了姑娘的父亲，请求他把女儿嫁给自己。很快，二人订婚了。他们一起去度假并日渐亲密。然尔，当沙拉万告诉她，他对她的爱只是为了和她睡觉时，瓦尔莎的美梦破灭了。瓦尔莎带着一颗破碎的心离开了。之后，沙拉万回到了故乡参加弟弟卡兰Karan（阿贾伊.戴夫冈Ajay Devgan）和帕亚尔Payal的婚礼。当沙拉万看到帕亚尔的时候，他惊呆了。帕亚尔不是别人，正是瓦尔莎......
