◎简　　介　

本片为张彻导演，王福龄配乐，亦是金马影帝狄龙首次担任男主角的纪念作，另有「亚洲影帝」姜大卫及「娃娃影后」李菁合演。故事描述，狄龙与姜大卫及于倩游车河时，遇富家女李菁的跑车抛锚，狄载她返家，一见钟情。后李往姜之修车厂取车，再遇狄，狄约李去跳舞，夜总会中，碰见李兄陈鸿烈，陈不喜欢狄，故二人只好提早离去；归家途中，目击警察追捕逃犯，逃犯掉下之手枪，被狄检到，从此改变他的命运……影片通过一个青年的人生轨迹，反映社会上人与人心之间存在无法沟通的死角，这是造成人悲剧的一个源泉。

在60年代中期，张彻导演以执导男性为主的功夫片改变了当时以女性为主题的影片的格局，《死角》便是这种持续了6年的新势力的开始。本片是姜大卫和李菁第一次共同出演张彻执导的影片，片中的一个主要矛盾就是当陈鸿烈反对自己的妹妹李菁与狄龙交往而展开的。数位影星同台，留给观众深刻印象。

在1969年左右，张彻又开创了另一条电影新路线，就是摒弃刀剑的时装打斗片，打头阵的是《死角》，由李菁和狄龙主演，其后还有《小煞星》、《拳击》、《叛逆》等。

　 狄龙原名陈富荣，一九四六年出生，籍贯广东新会。幼年时由于家境贫苦，十一岁便在服装店当学徒。他自小崇拜英雄好汉，为了不受人欺负，曾拜师学咏春拳。一九六八年，狄龙考入邵氏公司的南国演员训练班。翌年，《死角》一片徵选主角，导演张徹从十个新人试镜中首选了狄龙。狄龙在其中扮演一位反叛意识很强的青年张纯，因为爱上富家女温柔，遭到其兄温强的阻止破坏，致使最后用暴力解决，张纯步入了死角。
