◎简　　介

导演安哲罗普洛斯关于追寻命题的又一杰作，这次邀来数位影坛老牌明星担纲。本片探讨特殊环境里人的尊严——是什么力量让一个开明的政客对人类的前途失去信心，不仅放弃他的政治生涯，甚至丢掉自己做人的特征？影片承袭了安哲罗普洛斯导演一向的长镜头取景，多处地方均呈现一种沉默无生气的意象，整个画面透露一股神秘的空冷气息，片末的无声婚礼更让人回味无穷。当然一般观众还要有足够耐心和丰富的艺术沉淀才能读懂其中蕴涵的许多哲学意义和相关的政治含义。
