Jazz legend Jaco Pastorius takes the stage for a landmark concert performance at the 1982 Montreal Jazz Festival with bandmates Randy Brecker on trumpet, Peter Erskine on drums, Bobby Mintzer on reeds, Don Alias on percussion and Othello Molineaux on steel drums. Tracks include Charlie Parker's "Donna Lee" and Pastorius's signature "Chicken," plus plenty of improvisation to keep jazz fans fully satisfied.This concert performance from the 1982 Montreal Jazz Festival captures Jaco in his prime as both the outrageous stage presence and the brilliant musical force with unfathomable technique that never sacrificed musicality and groove.Jaco leads the band in a scorching set dominated by driving, yet thoughtful compositions filled with both great ensemble work and exceptionalsolos. His band mates include Randy Brecker on trumpet, fellow Weather Report alumnus Peter Erskine on drums, Bobby Mintzer on reeds, Don Alias on percussion and Othello Molineaux on steel drums.
