◎简　　介　

The story of a champion Eskimo sled dog, named Kavik, who survives a plane crash in the wilds of Alaska and is found and cared for by a young boy, named Andy Evans, who brings Kavik back to his small hometown. But the dog's owner, George Hunter, takes Kavik back to his home in Colorado where the dog escapes and embarks on a 2,000-mile odyssey in search of Andy.

          A magnificent Alaskan dog who  leads his team to victory  in  the
          National  Open  Sled  Dog  Race,  Kavik  is  bought  by  wealthy,
          unscrupulous businessman George Hunter, but his plane crashes  en
          route to  Seattle. Twelve-year-old  Andy finds  the badly wounded
          Kavik in the woods,  nurses him back to  health when no one  else
          believes he will  survive, and loves  the once proud  dog, who is
          left fearful and cowardly by the accident.
