A rain-slicked street reflects the neon signs in Godiva's shop windows. Founded in Brussels after World War II, the luxurious chocolate brand was named after the legendary Lady Godiva who is said to have ridden her horse through a busy
marketplace unclothed in order to convince her husband to lower taxes.

(一千年前,考文垂市Leofric the Dane伯爵为了要支持战争,向百姓征重税,置百姓疾苦于不顾。伯爵夫人戈黛娃(Godiva)见民不聊生,恳请伯爵减免赋税。伯爵怒,觉得老婆不该同情傻叉百姓。夫人却说百姓非常令人敬佩。结果打赌──夫人要裸体骑马走过闹市区,假如百姓次序井然,不窥视Godiva夫人,伯爵便减税。于是乎,夫人骑马上街,考文垂百姓都避而不出,不另善良夫人蒙羞。Leofric则伯爵守诺减税。现今油画,摆设等等工艺品上常有戈黛娃夫人像,以纪念其善举)
