Written and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi (Etat), The Cavern recently won the Fan Favorite, Best Cinematography and Special Mention awards at the 2006 Shriekfest Film Festival and the Best Sci-Fi Horror Feature at the 2006 Deep Ellum Film Festival.

Eight explorers delve into a newly discovered cave system in Central Asia, only to find themselves trapped and hunted by a terrorizing unknown presence. When the group’s two guides are mysteriously killed off, the members of the team find themselves caught in a fight for their lives as they desperately seek to escape the winding labyrinths of the cave.

With two key members of the team dead, the explorers desperately try to escape and find that their way out has been inexplicably sealed shut. They’re trapped inside and the only way to continue is to go deeper into the cave. Miles beneath the surface and surrounded by labyrinths of rock, sand, mud and water, they charge at a breakneck pace to a frightening and thoroughly startling conclusion.
