◎简　　介　

License to Drive is FINALLY coming to DVD. I can't believe we had to wait so long? License to Drive was the 1988 film that truly established that the two Corey's were a force to be reckoned with at the box office. The previous year the two appeared in the classic film The Lost Boys. Although Corey Haim was one of the films stars, Corey Feldman had a smaller role as one half of the Frog Brothers. License to Drive was the duos first big flick. The film also starred Heather Graham, who is best known for her role as Roller Girl in the 1997 film Boogie Nights.

In License to Drive Corey Haim stars as Les Anderson. He has a problem. He has no license. He is too cool to be seen on the school bus and it's totally not cool to have your friends mom drop you off at parties. Plus, Wes has a crush on a hot blonde who just happens to be named Mercedes.

This film is so hilarious and engaging. The time finally comes when Wes takes his driving exam. It's classic, his nerdy twin sister finishes before him and Wes is one question away from failing his exam when he gets the question wrong and the screen screams at him "You Have Failed," he hits his computer and all the computers konk out. The laughs continue when Wes gets to the road test and his instructor warns him about how he loves his cup of coffee and how he wouldn't want his coffee to burn him.

The time arrives when Wes finally has his opportunity to go out on a date with Mercedes--but his parents discovered that he really failed his driving test. Wes has got to make it happen and he takes the car anyway. Heck, Merceds called him and expected to see him in 20 minutes, what's a teenage boy to do? The night becomes filled with misadventures and Mercedes gets so smashed she spends part of the night in the trunk of the car. The excitement only continues when Les' mother, played by Carol Kane needs to get to the hospital.
