从前，银河系里的一个遥远的地方住着一群残暴的种族“太空球”。该种族的领导愚蠢的浪费了他们宝贵的空气，于是图谋一个秘密的计划以从他们与世无争的邻居都伊迪亚中窃取空气。都伊迪亚行星的公主在结婚之日当了逃跑新娘，万万没想到“太空球”的邪恶势力已经瞄准了他，他能否找到真爱？都伊迪亚行星的空气会被吸走吗？

幕后制作

本片导演生于纽约布鲁克林的犹太区。长大到14岁附近的人就教他如何击鼓，然后参加乐队到夜总会演奏。有一次在小乡镇的一家旅馆演奏时，恰遇喜剧搭挡休假，临时请他客串表演，不料大受欢迎。不久，他替红艺人薜特席沙写电视节目的剧本。他们的笑剧大受美国观众的欢迎。于是其他电视台也纷纷来请他写剧本。甚至百老汇舞台也来找他。同时他也写了不少畅销曲的歌词。1968年从影，第一部片子是《制片人》，一身兼制片、编剧、导演。该片获得了1968年奥斯卡最佳编剧奖，他是当前美国影坛最杰出的新喜剧导演。本片中他既是导演又是演员，幽默的演出了一剧科幻喜剧。
