◎简　　介　

英国统治的印度的西北一个美丽森林中，有个被狼群养大的男孩。他的名字叫莫格里，小时候，莫格里被丢弃在丛林里，勇敢的狼妈妈把他从老虎的口中救了出来，并把他带回到狼群里收养。棕熊巴鲁教他学习丛林法律和与各种动物对话，黑豹巴格希拉教他捕猎和生活经验，当他被猴子绑架的时候，足智多谋而又力大无比的岩蟒卡赶走猴子并救了他。


　　邪恶的老虎希尔·汗总是处心积虑想把莫格里吃掉，莫格里在孤狼和灰兄弟的帮助下，赶着牛群大军把老虎活活地踩死，并剥了它的皮。带领大象海希一起捣毁村庄。与岩蟒卡一起视查地形，巧设埋伏，诱敌深入，打败了前来进犯的野狗群。莫格里与森林中的各种动物成为亦师亦友的朋友，直到他遇到一位英国军官的女儿，带领他进入人类文明的社会，改变他的生活，激发他对人类世界的渴望……
