　玛丽戈蒂是一位美国女演员，因为自己的低成本电影投资撤资，而来到印度谋求发展。为了维持生计，她在一出宝莱坞音乐剧中演了一个小角色，就此认识了舞蹈指导布莱姆。结果证明玛丽戈蒂并不是个合格的舞蹈演员，在剧中错误百出，但同时她也爱上了布莱姆，两人感情迅速增温。不久玛丽戈蒂发现布莱姆不仅有着王室血统，而且还被安排将和一个美丽的印第安女孩结婚。与此同时，玛丽戈蒂的男友也突然来到了印度。事情变得愈加复杂起来……
