　　   在一个非常时期，敦煌的僧人把舍利子收藏起来——这是佛教中圣僧火化后留下的坚固子，具有圣僧的精髓。为了保护这件稀世宝物，僧人们把它安置在一个人迹罕至的地方。然而，冥冥中注定这宝物有一天会重现世间，为了确保宝物的安全，僧人与一个杂技世家达成了一项秘密协定。数百年来，这个家族一直世代相传着他们的家传绝技，来等待使命的完成。

　　时光飞逝，一下子来到了今日的青岛，白嫣飞(杨紫琼)和弟弟白跃童(张卓楠)是杂技家族的最后遗裔，姐弟二人现在是一个杂技团的成员，在各地巡回演出，所到之处，他们出类拔萃的身手每每赢得观众的喝采。一天，亚历(本·卓别林)\嫣飞的旧情人突然出现，带来了一块陶瓷佩饰：“敦煌之心”——传说它能解开宝藏之谜，揭示寻找舍利子的线索。于是，他们一起踏上了这个充满荆棘的旅程，追寻曾由他们祖先所保护的神秘宝藏。与此同时，一个为达目的不择手段的无情富商——卡尔(李察·若思博)正尾随而至……由青岛街头一路追逐至敦煌大漠，最终谁能逃过保护舍利子的重重机关寻得宝藏呢？

□导演/摄影指导：鲍德熹Peter Pau

李安在接受《美国电影摄影师》杂志采访时评价鲍德熹说：“他甚至比我前两部作品的摄影师艾尔莫斯更具有好莱坞风格，他是我的摄影师，也是副导演，他也许是这世界上为数不多的能身兼多职的摄影师。”凭借《卧虎藏龙》获得奥斯卡金像奖的鲍德熹是世界顶尖摄影指导之一 。鲍德熹出身于电影世家，父亲是香港著名演员鲍方。1983年肆业于美国旧金山艺术学院电影系，90年代初曾导演《爵士驾到》和《雾都情仇》，但都反响平平。此后，他以摄影师身份与多位著名导演进行合作，包括吴宇森的《喋血双雄》；徐克的《反击王》、《花月佳期》和《金玉满堂》；于仁泰的《白发魔女传》、《夜半歌声》、《五行战士》和《娃鬼回魂》；与及PATRICK LUSSIER的《够僵人魔》。1999年在《卧虎藏龙》中，以其诗般流丽及眩目的光影杰作，成为首位夺得奥斯卡金像奖及美国六个主要影评人协会的最佳摄影的香港摄影师。18年来，鲍德熹拍摄的32部电影，共获得12次电影奖项提名，其中三次获得香港电影金像奖最佳摄影。

□监制：钟再思Thomas Chung

　　持有英国执业会计师牌照的钟再思，曾出任寰亚综艺集团的执行董事。他对电影制作及发行有多年经验，曾担任多套票房大热电影，包括《紫雨风暴》、《半支烟》、《公元2000》、《心动》及《特警新人类》系列等的监制。曾获得CINEASIA颁发的“2000年最佳监制”奖。钟再思同时拥有二十年的投资经验，其中十年是在娱乐及电讯行业进行合并及收购的计划。他曾于卫视集团旗下Media Assets工作，于1993年策划收购550部电影，是华语电影版权首次最大型的易手。

　　凭着《007明日帝国》、《卧虎藏龙》两部影片，今年8月即将年满40岁的杨紫琼已经成为国际知名演员及亚洲首席动作女星。1984年出道至今，在香港参与演出超过20部电影，比较著名的有《皇家师姐》、《警察故事3》、《东方三侠》、《阿金》和《宋家皇朝》等，1997年杨紫琼在《明日帝国》的出色表演让全球观众首次领略了东方女子的不凡身手，为她建立了全球知名度。2000年在《卧虎藏龙》中出演女侠俞秀莲，为她赢得英国电影学会、台湾金马奖和香港电影金像奖等多个奖项的最佳女主角提名，2001年美国ShoWest协会授予杨紫琼年度国际杰出艺人称号。

　　在《明日帝国》、《卧虎藏龙》之后，有众多好莱坞片商向杨紫琼招手，诚意邀请她接拍007系列及《骇客帝国》续集等片，但杨紫琼决心留在香港发展，2000年她成立了自己的制作公司“电影神话”(Mythical Films)，锐意吸纳优秀的编剧及导演制作高质素的电影，《天脉传奇》是该公司制作的首部电影。

*影片投资2千万美元，分别在西藏、敦煌、青岛等地实地取景拍摄；

*鉴于《卧虎藏龙》一片的良好合作基础，美国知名的艺术片发行商米拉麦克斯公司在《天脉传奇》未开拍前就抢先购得该片的北美发行权；

*据传在本·卓别林之前，杨紫琼曾考虑过包括休·杰克曼、大卫·杜楚尼、伊万·麦奎格等知名帅哥出任影片的男主角；

*影片以一刀未剪的成绩顺利通过国家电影局的审查，成为第一部内地与亚洲其他地区同步上映的影片。
