    本片讲述了一个少年在一些老电影人的帮助下拍摄电影进而实现梦想的故事。

    卡梅隆(迈克尔·安格拉诺饰)是一个叛逆的青少年，进入青春期的他经常会因为一些小事和母亲及继父争吵。作为一个狂热的电影爱好者，他梦想有一天自己成为一个成功的电影人。为了实现这一梦想，他参加了一项学生竞赛活动，获胜者将有可能进入洛杉矶电影学校学习。

  按照安排卡梅隆被分配照顾一个名叫Flash(克里斯托弗·普拉莫饰)的老人，Flash曾经参与演出过轰动一时的影片《公民凯恩》，然而暮年的他却境况惨淡。在卡梅隆的影响下，Flash渐渐得恢复了对生活的信心，因为在卡梅隆身上，他看到了自己的影子，于是Flash找到一帮老朋友帮助卡梅隆实现梦想。

    然而时过境迁，这帮老人全都丧失了激情，不过当得知自己的名字依然被当作资料记录下来的时候，老人们还是感到了些许欣慰，于是在众人齐心协力下，卡梅隆完成了一部反映老年人境况的纪录片。影片拍摄完成，卡梅隆交到了一个良师益友，而Flash也平静地接受了自己的生活……
