活动的桌面日历(Active Desktop Calendar)是一个可完全定制的日期定制软件，提供日期记录，任务，闹钟以及联系方法等功能，并可与桌面背景进行无缝融合以及提供足够互动性。使用者可将层中的数据进行有效组织，并在本地网络內进行共享。

ActiveDesktop Calendar is fully customizable calendar features notes,tasks,alarms, and displays its data on your desktop through blendingwithexisting wallpaper. You can organize your data in layers and sharethemwith other people on a local area network. The program canintegratewith Outlook and show its appointments and tasks on thedesktop. If yousynchronize your PDA device (Pocket PC, Palm,smartphone) with Outlookthen through this connection you also get asynchronization with PDA asa side effect.

There are options for changing calendar icons,fonts and colors, markingweekdays of choice and marking dates withnotes and/or alarms. You canhave a text only version of the calendarand choose between displayingone, two or three months on the desktop.

Recurrencepatterns are available for both notes and alarms. An alarmcan be standalone or attached to a note. If interactive desktop optionis enabled,the program accepts direct clicks on dates, notes and tasksdisplayedon the desktop.

You can set each note to normal, private orinvisible desktop view.Private notes are displayed as generic textreminder and invisible notesare not displayed at all. Printingcalendar data is easy and includes anoption to choose date range forprinting notes.

Special desktop pictures option allows you toadd some of your picturesto existing desktop background. Commaseparated values .CSV format issupported for data export and import.Tablet PC users should not worryas the program detects desktoporientation changes automatically.Finally, Active Desktop Calendarcomes with world clock screen saverthat shows your computer's systemtime, plus five major time zonesaround the world.
