A virus identity (IDE) file which provides protection is available now from the Latest virus identities section, and is incorporated into the February 2004 (3.78) release of Sophos Anti-Virus.
At the time of writing, Sophos has received just one report of this Trojan from the wild.
Description
Troj/Flator-A is a Trojan that pretends to be an installer for a program called 'Imperator Fla Demo'. Instead of installing the program, the Trojan corrupts all files found on the hard drive by overwriting the first 8192 bytes of the file with zeros.
Recovery
If the full payload has not triggered please follow the instructions for removing Trojans.
