MPC(MediaPlayer Classic)是一个免费的WMP(Windows Media Player)外壳程序。它非常小巧，只需一个主程序即可。外观酷似WMP6.4，但它的功能却是后者远不能及的。MPC不仅可以播放所有WMP支持的格式，甚至连GIF动画都不放过，而且效果很不错。如果您已经安装了Real、QuickTime、Flash解码器，那么这些这些类型的媒体也能使用它来播放。

MPC 还加强了 DVD回放，并集成视频捕捉的功能。它还有一个足以傲视众多播放器的资本，就是内建的 Vobsub 字幕引擎和 Subresync 字幕编辑器。对DVDrip 爱好者来说，MPC 绝对是首选。但如果您的操作系统不是 Windows XP/2k3， 那么它将需要 DirectX 9(或更高版本)的支持才能直接为 DirectShow 媒体加载字幕。

Media Player Classic is anextremely light-weight media player for Windows. It looks just likeWindows Media Player 6.4, but has many additional extra features. MPChas, for instance, a built in DVD player with real-time zoom, supportfor AVI subtitles, QuickTime and RealVideo support (requires QT and/orReal player); built-in MPEG2/SVCD/DVD codec.
It also supportsSVCD/CVD selectable subtitles and lots more. The best part about MediaPlayer Classic is the ability to modify the filters when playing yourfavorite video files.

* MPC: Added some key bindings.
*MPC: Added option to disable the automatic blocking of VSFilter when"Auto-load subtitles" is enabled and the internal subtitle filter isused. Disabling this block allows users to view two different subtitlelanguages at the same time (if they want to). The option is called"BlockVSFilter" and currently requires manual editing of theregistry/ini, since it is not (yet) available in the GUI.

~Unicode版本只能在Windows 2000及以上的系统中运行，ANSI 版本可以在Windows 98及以上的系统中运行但不支持国际字符。~
