Two Brothers is an independent Canadian film (shot entirely on digital video directed by Richard Bell). The movie focuses on twenty-something Riley (Gay), who leaves home after his mother’s funeral. After arriving in Vancouver, he renews his friendship with is estranged older brother (straight) who he hasn’t seen since their father died six years earlier. And so begins the politics of conciliation which reveals hidden aspects about both siblings. Made for an incredible low cost, Two Brothers is a moving gay family dream proves the success of digital video and the tenacity of a young aspiring filmmaker.
