He returns home to discover members of his bizarre family plan to cash in on his life insurance policy before he turns 18. Surrounded by greedy, uncaring people, who don't seem to understand the foundation of trust that a family typically provides, JJ finds himself becoming increasingly self-destructive. In this environment, the lure of intoxicants seems particularly poignant.
