　　《最后逃生》（A Man Escaped）的故事十分简单，独是描述男主角Francis如何（策划）逃狱。笔者觉得愈简单的故事，就愈要在角色、内容、结构和场面上有精炼的处理，否则很易便令观众感到闷。 罗拔布烈逊把全片的叙事焦点集中在囚犯的角色身上，令他们的心路历程相当清晰。为了逃狱大计万无一失，Francis多次跟多位囚犯作讨论，每一次讨论都有新的进展、新的戏剧张力，当中尤以他跟隔邻囚室的囚犯和比自己年轻得多的少年囚犯的交谈，最能牵动观众把戏追看下去。相反，布烈逊是不把狱警、惩教官员的主观视点放在眼内，观众或会奇怪囚犯的逃狱大计始终没有被揭发。
　　布烈逊显然做了不少资料搜集，令片中各种逃狱的奇谋妙计皆拍得似模似样，观众自然不会骂「桥段儿嬉」而是看得津津有味。此外，戏的结构是同时将男主角追求自由的生命力和不安感，逐段戏逐段戏加强和加深，直到结尾他跟少年囚犯攀墙逃狱的一场高潮戏，便以最精炼的影象，将该份至为矛盾的身心挣扎，强烈地爆发出来...

Plot outline                                      
                                                   
French Resistance activist Andre Devigny is      
imprisoned by the Nazis, and devotes his waking   
hours to planning an elaborate escape. Then, on   
the same day, he is condemned to death, and given
a new cellmate. Should he kill him, or risk      
revealing his plans to someone who may be a

Plot outline                                      
A documentary about Bresson. The documentary      
opens with the striking, silver-haired            
septuagenarian director accepting an award for   
  L'ARGENT (which would be his final film)- and   
this must be one of the few images one can ever   
see of this notorious recluse. We see the         
filmmakers finally track down the legend for an   
interview. Over the phone, they compromise and   
are allowed to ask the director only one question
if they are to interview him at all. Thus, we see
the fabled interview, where the director sits     
down, and the people behind the camera ask him   
their one question.
